Faith as Small as a Mustard Seed

Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the first principle of the gospel. It is a spiritual gift, and it is necessary to our salvation.

To have faith in Jesus Christ means to have such trust in Him that we obey whatever He commands. As we place our faith in Jesus Christ, becoming His obedient disciples, Heavenly Father will forgive our sins and prepare us to return to Him.

The righteous man shall live by faith (Rom. 1:17). Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see ( Hebrews 11:1). And faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope (Galatians 5:5), because through faith we have been justified, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1-2).

This Sunday Gospel narrates about faith. Let me share His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle's reflection on the gospel and readings that really touches me from the heart:
